Well i went to the meeting tonight and even though the health dept was there with the mumbo jumbo on it not being contagious, we get the papers they hand out where it says it is contagious.
In my opinion the superintendent proved her callous attitude to us below her, they never copped up to the fact that they handled it all wrong, the pushed it off onto the parents as overreacting. which is more wrong than not closing the school as it should have been.
I was glad to see so many irate parents voicing their opinions and i was glad i got to voice my own opinion as well, even tho i feel it went unanswered with their same mumbo jumbo of "protocol" being followed, we arent dealing with head lice, this is a deadly disease that killed a very nice member of our community.
I hope she will Rest In Peace and I send my condolences to her family and friends.

I don't think I mentioned the school board being in the wrong, I actually know and respect the board members. I think the person at fault here was the superintendent not the school board. Unfortunately at the meeting the school board as a whole was getting the brunt of the parents, I wish it would have been more directed towards the superintendent, I feel she deserves all the nastiness she gets. What comes around goes around as the saying goes!

Blaming the super is like blaming someones dog fer crapping in your yard. she does what the board lets her get away with.

Since when does this School know what they are doing? our School is messed up. Why should the High Schoolers suffer for the Schools ma-stake? Our school needs to go back to the way it was. I think that would make people more happy. The halls are crowded and you cant walk to your next class with out getting pushed by another student or you get stuck in the hall and your late for class and you get yelled at for it. That is crap.

Hey, I hear Hale High School has a new policy on student body contact. It's now FULL CONTACT. If anyone has a question about their children's rules about boy-girl contact, just contact the Principle at Hale School's. The Principles Daughter got taken to Daddy's office after He caught her "Making Out" with her boyfriend. Guess What? NOTHING HAPPENED. She never got kicked-out or anything. So if all you parents that have any concerns as to how well the School is looking after your child while at School, don't worry, IT'S MAKE-OUT TIME. Don't let them discipline you child for this activity-just remember to cry as you leave the office and all is well.

We also have a new disiplinary program called Pax at the schools. Many have not been informed. Please take time to talk to your child about this.
