In the 80s and 90s I would stay at some cabins near Londo lake store. They were owned by a Nice lady named Dolly. Her Grandson Rich or Ritchie had them the last I heard .They were located right near the public boat landing.Does anybody know if the cabins/resort is still in operation and what the last name of Rich is. I have a ton of Great memories involving those cabin. Also ,Who owns the Londo lake store now? I remember a lady named Arlene running the place back in the day . Is she still around?Any info would be great. My mother owns 160 acres in section 26 of plainfield township that I used to hunt and plan on hunting again in the future. Thanks for any info,
Mike

Bob & arlene still run the Londo Lake store and those cabins on West Londo lake are still there...a little updated..but still there.. I can remember when Coney & theresa owned and ran the store...wow was it a neat place to visit. Had a meat and cheese counter. Londo lake store is still there but needs outside maintenance badly and inside just needs a lot of cleaning and updating...but the same store

My parents, Wilson & Hazel Cronk owned the Londo cabins for a couple of years in the late sixties. I was about 7 years old at the time. I remember Coney and Teresa (the little store owners), however, Marlin and Mary Ellen bought the store a little after we moved there. Living in Hale is something I'll always remember fondly. I am in San Diego now where I've lived for 21 years. I'm glad to hear the cabins are still there and have been renovated. It's a great get away for the summer and great for snowmobiling in the winter.
Ahhh, nostalgia.
In the summer: Frogs, turtles (painted & snapper), catfish, perch, pike, blue gil, sunfish, rockbass, frogs, snakes, racoons, beavers, SKUNKS, owls, bats, horses, goats, chickens, loons (birds), deer, lightning bugs, crayfish....
I little kids dream come true.
